Case Dismissed.
October 2019
Our client was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident. In reality, after a small fender-bender in a parking lot, she had driven about 100 feet to pick up a 92 year old man whom she had driven to the store and who was waiting for her in the dark. Her companion was not healthy, and required a walker to get around, and she merely wanted to retrieve him rather than to leave him standing out in the night air.
The owner of the other vehicle approached our client and they properly exchanged information. Nonetheless, she was cited for leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging information. Shortly after we informed the State Attorney's Office that we would be defending the case, the decision was made to drop the case altogether.
Another happy client.
