For some reason, our Boating Under the Influence cases seem to come in bunches.  We might go a year or two without one,

and then sign up three or four in a few months.  The first few months of 2016 were like that. Within four months, we were retained in four cases involving boating under the influence.  

BUI cases are more complicated than DUI cases, because many of the tests designed for driving cases do not properly measure impairment on the water.  As you can imagine, tests for balance and coordination are not as reliable when they are being performed on a boat, bobbing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Anyway, we've had fantastic success with our BUI cases this year.  Two were reduced to lesser charges, and today we got word that our second BUI case in two months was dismissed by the State of Florida without even filing an information.
